  • Please do not give honey to children under the age of 1 year old.

2 cups of sesame seeds
3/4 cup raw honey

Toast sesame seeds in a shallow skillet over medium heat. Stir constantly, making sure not to burn the seeds. Toast just until golden brown. Set aside.

Pour honey in a medium saucepan, bring to a boil, stirring occasionally. Let boil for 4-5 minutes or until it reaches 250 F (125 C).

Remove from heat, gently stir in toasted Sesame Seeds until the mixture is well combined.

Cut 2 sheets of parchment paper, the size of the cookie sheet.

Line a cookie sheet with 1 sheet of parchment paper and lightly butter or spray with non-stick cooking spray (greased side up).

Pour mixture onto lined cookie sheet.

Mixture on cookie sheet

Spray or grease, second sheet of parchment paper and lay on top of mixture (greased side against mixture)

Use a rolling pin, or a drinking glass will work also, to roll the mixture to the sides of the pan. Let cool completely. Cut into bars (I use a pizza cutter).
